The Brief
Bespoke Windows & Doors Ltd. situated in Coulsdon, supplies and install a range of quality fixtures in homes all throughout Surrey, from aluminium windows and uPVC windows to bifold doors. They also handle larger projects such as the construction of conservatories and warm rooms. Popular in areas including Banstead, Caterham, Croydon, Purley, Sanderstead, Reigate and Warlingham. Their friendly team of professionals are here to help you with anything you might have in mind, such as fitting out an extension with quality uPVC doors, updating windows to improve property energy efficiency, or upgrading from uPVC to composite doors as part of a wider refurbishment.
The Problem
As a driven startup, Bespoke came to us. Even though they had high hopes for the company, they struggled to get traction in a very competitive market that was dominated by big, well-established businesses.
Our Analysis Indicated
We found Bespoke already had some really solid groundwork done on their website, in terms of having a very content-led approach (this is something a lot of businesses neglect).
However, there were very few keywords ranking in the top 10 meaning the website was getting very little organic traffic. We found some low-hanging opportunities to optimise the headings on pages to pick up more organic search terms.
We also found a number of opportunities to create more of a hierarchical structure on the website for the different services they offer. This makes it easier for Google to rank a website, whilst also demonstrating authority and expertise through layered page content.
Another big challenge was the website had very few backlinks, being a new business, which makes it hard for Google to take the website seriously, especially when surrounded by very established companies, all of whom have strong SEO and backlink profiles.
Our Approach
In order to increase our chances of ranking organically for the keywords we were targeting, our initial focus was on optimizing the page hierarchy and content. After that, we created a thorough content strategy with the intention of establishing Bespoke as a leading authority in their main service areas. In order to do this, we began creating value-driven blog content. These efforts paid off, with multiple articles ranking on page one within the first few months.
Expanding on the original plan, we created backlinks for Bespoke’s website content. This strategy works especially well if you already have a wealth of unique and worthwhile content on your website. After three months of consistent work, we saw a significant improvement in Google’s perception of our website’s overall authority, which resulted in an astounding ten-fold rise in organic traffic.
